Big ‘Thank You’ to Frank!

The Association would like to extend a huge ‘Thank You’ to Frank Culleton from County Clare, who raised 1170 EURO for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association of Ireland, by running  in the Dublin City Marathon on Monday, the 27th of October, 2008.  

On behalf of Frank, we would also like to acknowledge the contributions of the following;
The staff and students of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education faculty at the National University of Galway.
The staff at Colaiste Muire, Ennis, County Clare.

The Women’s Mini Marathon – Fundraising Opportunity!

The financial mainstay of the organisation is due to take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd June 2008. It is of course the 2008 FLORA WOMEN’S MINI MARATHON. The Association is looking for participants to raise funds.

Sponsorship cards and t-shirts can be arranged by contacting Anne Gilsenan at 087 1319803 or annegilsenan@cleft.ie.

The Women's Mini MarathonIn the meantime we would like to let you know that participants must enter either on the official Entry Form which appears in the Evening Herald every Thursday and Saturday or online at www.florawomensminimarathon.ie by the closing date.

Closing Date: 22nd April 2008 or when maximum number of entries is reached.

Special Thanks to Marathon Runners!

We would like to extend  a big ‘THANK YOU’ to all our runners in the recent Flora women’s mini-marathon. These include;

Anne O’Brien and the Rathangan runners, Karen O’Reilly, Michelle Connell, Louise Benson, Amber Baruch, Linda O’Crowley, Patricia Clifford, Louise Egar, Aoife Diamond, and those whose names are not readily to hand but who are equally near to our hearts for their efforts on behalf of the Association. Donations from Far Afield

Many thanks to Tony & Mary Kelly who organised a gate collection at their local GAA ground – many thanks to the supporters at Naomh Teagain. We would also like to thank the extended Kearney family who swapped Christmas gifts for CLAPAI donations … what a cool idea! Thanks also to Eddie, hospital Alice, John, Paula, Noel and the Carrig Ladies Club who all made much welcomed donations recently.
