22q is a very rare condition that amongst other symptoms involves cleft palate. This conference on Saturday 22nd October is an opportunity to meet other families, healthcare professionals and experts and admission is free.

10:10 a.m. Dr Debbie Sell, Head of Speech and Language Therapy Dept, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, London.
10:50 a.m. Prof Kieran Murphy, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Structural & Functional Neuroimaging Research Update.
11:10 a.m. Dr Erik O’Hanlon, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland & Anne Lawlor, 22q11 Ireland on Research Findings – Making Sense of Behaviour.

Cleft Conference Photos

The Dublin Cleft Centre Conference was held on the 13th March, 2008. The theme of the conference was “Cleft Lip and Palate: The Journey of Care from Birth to Adulthood”.

The conference was held in the Hilton Dublin Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin 2. The aim of the conference was to provide an overview of the journey of care of a baby born with Cleft Lip and Palate from birth to adulthood.

Craniofacial Conference, April 2007 - Report

The Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland annual conference took place in Dublin this week, and there were a multitude of interesting and insiteful presentations on all aspects of cleft and cleft treatment. We hope in the near future to make available summaries of some of the presentations here.
Mr. Earley at the end of the conference handed over the chain of office as President to Bill Shaw, Professor of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Development, Manchester University Dental Hospital.

Craniofacial Society Conference, April 2007

The Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland this year holds its annual conference in Killiney, Co. Dublin. Mr. Michael Earley, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Temple Street, is the President of the Society for this year, and we wish him well in his role.
The conference takes place from the 18-20 April. CLAPAI will be present at the conference where we will have a stand and attend some of the many lectures that will be given.

22q Conference

Venue: Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin.
22q is a very rare condition that amongst other symptoms involves cleft palate. On Saturday 26th May a conference is being organised for people that are ‘living with 22q”. It is an opportunity to meet other families, healthcare professionals and experts and admission is free.
