Clinic Schedule

The Combined Cleft Clinic runs on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. Where necessary clients are assessed by the Speech and Language Therapist and the Audiologist in the morning, and are then seen by the team in the afternoon. Every effort is made to ensure that clients travelling a greater distance are seen late morning, to allow for travel time.

The Speech and Language assessment clinic starts at approximately 9.15am and the clinic in the afternoon starts at 2.00pm.

Public Transport

The following buses serve the hospital:
The 123(Imp) passes through the hospital grounds.
Numbers 78 and 78A pass by the James’s Street gate.
Numbers 19 and 19A pass the Rialto gate of the hospital.
Number 17 serves Rialto, a five minute walk from the Rialto entrance to the hospital.

The Luas line runs through the hospital grounds.

Heuston station is a fifteen minute walk from the hospital.

Car Parking

Parking for visitors is available within the hospital grounds. Charges apply. Disc parking is in operation on James Street and Brookfield Road ( adjacent to the Rialto entrance.)

Taxi

A taxi rank is in operation outside the main hospital entrance.

Accommodation

Parents may arrange to stay in the Hospital while their child is admitted. It is advisable to check the availability of the bed prior to the planned admission.

St. James’s Hospital is located on the south side, in Dublin 8, near the Guinness Brewery.
The Speech and Language Therapy department is a red brick building situated on the right hand side on entering the Rialto gate.
The cleft clinic is situated in the main hospital in the Out Patients Department, Suite 4.
